The problem is that he's actively science denier in that area and all of his arguments relies on the ignoring the basic scientific fact that if we keep increasing the CO2 level, we will cause significant damage, not only to ecosystems, but also to the political stability of the world. The consequences of dadically changing the foundations of living for billions of people will be conflicts. ... and it will be conflicts in a world with less landmass and less of the land being able to sustain life. Alex Epstein is playing with dangerous nonsense.

  3. Wrt. @ 14:00 Exactly ... there are lots of things in our world which is good in one context, but bad in another. Like - water is essential for life, but you can drown in it. Nitroglycerin is dangerous, but it's also heart medicine. That's why it's an utterly stupid argument when the climate science deniers starts on their "CO2 is plant food and essential for life" talking point. Yeah? ... and so? ... that doesn't change the fact that it absorbs infrared radiation and turns it into heat.
