  1. Which means he did have the means to raise his son but simply didn't want him at the time. He probably didn't want to say this on camera though as it's pretty damning. He then adopted his daughter out of guilt after realizing how much he ** up. Small comfort though to son he willing gave up.

He does not need it and I'm sure he's probably fine but that doesn't mean the thought never crossed his mind. Anyway let's agree to disagree because it's certainly is possible to raise a kid even if your young. I've known many teenage parent and they managed just fine even if they weren't happy about it. Plus I'm sure he had parents or other figures in his who could have helped him and him given advice if he wanted it. He never even tried and that's sad no matter what way you look at it.

  9. It's more common then you think. People are extremely polarized these days and more openly prejudiced then ever. As result many people just want to avoid walking on eggshells within their own social circles or rocking the boat (and risk getting thrown out).

  10. Hold up before you start crying a river. He said he couldn't give a child a good life and so he put him up for adoption. Yet later he was able to give someone else's child a good life by adopting them. Why couldn't he have more natural kids? Why did he have to adopt? Is it really coming from bottom of his heart or from his ocean of guilt? He needs his adopted daughter, to what, assuage his guilt for not even trying to raise his bio-son?

The middle east, India, north africa, africa, east asia and south east asia all have there own forms inter-ethnic prejudice, systemic racism, religious racism, ethno religious supremacy, and so forth. Mixing races will not not create utopia. It will only create new orders (not just one new world order) out of the ashes of the old. People will re-segregate and form new identities, nations, tribes, and religions all with the same issues as there predecessors except with a new coat of paint.

  12. A child is not a thing. Just because you raise them, care for them, and educate them does make them yours. If they want to see there bio family let them (as long there not toxic). I'm sure some private arrangement could be made even if it's only like a occasional prison visit.

  14. But child has nothing to do with this. Nothing! Even if they look like the rapist. True you might not owe them a realtionship but some closure on there origins would thoughtful at the very least. If parents who put there children up for adoption regardless of why could turn there emotions off for one second they would realize this. Where would they be if they didn't know where they came from or personal family history. All easy stuff to take for granted.

  18.  @marlonmoncrieffe0728  No they are not all the same cultures. They all have distinct quirks with some common behaviors, values, and ideals in common. Italian american culture is alot different from rural midwestern farming culture.

You should know that there are people out who are just as ambitious and driven as you and who also have very little time due to work, school, family, etc.. I guess it really comes down to personal preference. I have many people who (at least in my family) place more priority over work than family, friends, some even there spouses. As result they have very few of either (that there close with) but many superficial aqaintiences. There are also others who do in fact get back within a hour or 2 even if only to let you know they can't talk right now. I think it really come down to personality personally as some people really are more selfish than others even if there not aware of it or don't think of it as such. That's just my experience though and it might not be universal.

  30.  @danjohnson7020  Well the fact is, and this isn't a very nice thing to say, that is kinda what the vast majority of the americas did. They didn't have to do that. England proved that with it's own colonial system after slavery was banned. Now you have to reap what you sow. Many countries after slavery was banned could have created Liberia like countries either in Africa or in there own colonies and gave the former slaves the land as reparations. Instead you decided to dismantle the institutions but maintain the aptitudes that lead it to happen while using them as a permanent serf class. Well now things are reaching a boiling a point... As it did under Monarchy and Feudalism. People can only take abuse for so long.

  33.  @227TT  In case of rape the child should be put for adoption and informed of there circumstances from a early age. Also they should be given plenty of mental health services to help them cope with this accordingly. If you don't want them to contacting you then I guess you put restraining order on them as well. The bottom line is they shouldn't be punished for there parents mistakes and because you never know who that child might grow up to be. I'm saying that a someone who almost aborted and has adopted cousins who were teenage accidents but with proper home grew up to be successful adult's. If you really don't want to give birth though there are herbal remedies that can help prevent conception before the baby gets to late term.

Raised in all Nigerian and Chinese environment but not told much about American culture or people because they simply don't know that much. Imagine how strange, difficult, awkward that might be. Throw into a little prejudice and tribalism and there you have it. A broken, confused, and alienated child.

I'm not saying genuine attraction or like towards specific individuals of certain races doesn't happen but in many cases that's not what's going on. The situations becomes even more complicated when you bring kids into the equation creating alot of messed up kids. It's not even their fault though but the unresolved issues if their parents. Very rarely it because someone was fascinated by persons culture or who they are as person over all inspite of that. No it's often more rooted in unhealthy power dynamics.

However at your same time you have too go to mosque, eat halal, pray 5 times a day, and quote Qur'anic verses in arguments while yelling loudly that it's "haram".   51. It's because many cultures (not just european) are racist themselves even if they experienced discrimination from other racial groups. People are sensitive to cultural issues and zeitgeist of their own groups. Bringing new people into that group can sometimes radically upset the balance and often times people are made to be aware of that via shaming from their own home groups. The reasons vary.

  55. Ok fine but please don't forget to pass your experiences as PoC to your children so least they are aware of their advantages in life and that it was another story for older generations. Too often mixed race people lack sympathy if they pass and end becoming the very thing that caused them to come into being.
