  3. Because that's not what old trek was about. Those things happened but it wasn't about thar. It was about why people do those things and understanding the motivations behind it. New trek is basically Trek Wars in Space. It's not about the journey or the discovery or about any deeper meanings. So some people think it's not trek and they might be right but that doesn't make it bad.

I don't think I will ever be able to forgive the people who rained shite down from the sky directly on Lucas because they hated the prequels and it wasn't the star wars they grew up with. Well bask in the result now you turds. The Republic has now been sold to the Empire who doesn't give flying crud about the future of this franchise beyond a few rebel cells on the inside.

  6. The point it's not trek not the same trek that older people grew up with. If younger people like it them more power to them. I won't attack this like people attacked the star wars prequels saying how garbage they were. They were not like the original trilogy and there's nothing wrong with that but yes they were significantly different. Gen Z may feel like older generations are stealing there childhoods when they criticize popular shows like this. I certainly don't want to jump on that bandwagon of hatred but I do have to say ST is no longer for me personally. It's not what I grew up with or what I like but I'm not gonna force that down other people's throat.
