Cummings' only plan was to rip the UK out of its seat of considerable power in Europe simply to sell it off lock, stock and NHS to big American corporations. That plan is dead as a parrot so Cummings is off, leaving others to take the blame for what is about to happen. This way Cumming gets to avoid all the blame for the absolute disaster that is about to hit Britain. He can claim Brexit is so utterly terrible because he wasn't in charge at the crucial time.

Losing Trump destroyed his plans for Britain. Without the US and without the EU Britain is a disaster unfolding. Cummings is a rat leaving the ship he himself sank.

@simonrodgers2375 We are only likely to get a deal with the US if we get a deal with the EU first. The US has been VERY clear that if the UK risks the GFA then we can't get a US deal and a no-deal exit with the EU may well do just that if the Internal Market Bill goes ahead. And even if it doesn't Brexit is going to be quite damaging for Ireland without a proper deal with the EU. Cummings was going to tear up the GFA and falsely blame the EU for it but the US won't be fooled by that now. Trump would have been happy with that plan but Biden certainly won't.

@simonrodgers2375 Well I am going by what the President Elect has openly and clearly stated. The US loves Ireland, not the UK. They are deeply invested in the GFA as they were an intimate part of the process of securing it.
