@jameswhiteley6843 Whatever lockdowns have done, Brexit added to it and makes recovery much harder.

@cheese5728 Putting up trade barriers between Britain and Europe where we get 30% of all our food and do 50% of all our external trade is the government's monetary policy.

@snowstrobe "you are all so heavily indoctrinated" - Not at all. I have given Communism due consideration, and it has a few fatal flaws. The principle is fine, but it is, IMO unworkable. Capitalism, on the other hand, is unsustainable and grossly damaging. But I think the best we can do is have a strong social framework upon which would sit a somewhat restrained and sustainable form of Capitalism. But really none of it matters much as long as the people with money keep using that money to brainwash the masses, there is little hope of real change. The fact is we will walk into a climate disaster (we already have), we will walk into food shortages, we will walk into population unsustainability and Capitalism will eat itself when it gets to the point where it can't expand any further (Capitalism requires an ever expanding market).

@vinlondon8904 No, it doesn't. There is a lot more to Marxism than wanting to fix inequality.

@frankieseward8667 "This us how Marxism becomes so popular." - I always say the best way to Communism is through uncontrolled Capitalism. Which is why Capitalism should be tempered and controlled with a little Socialism. To prevent Communism.
