I think most people are of the opinion that Trump's Secret Police are unlawful and unconstitutional. But that's irrelevant. Channel 4 are accurately reporting what ordinary people on the ground feel.

When they formed as a political party they deliberately chose the term "National Socialists" because they wanted to encourage working men away from Communism into their right-wing ideology. Well one is a religion and the other is a political philosophy so they are orthogonal. But lets try. Is Islam compatible with Socialism? Not really. Socialists today favor religious tolerance - Islam does not. Socialists today favor women's rights - Islam does not. Socialists today favor democratic process, Islam does not. Socialists today favor gay rights, Islam does not. etc... etc... I don't see that they have much in common to be honest.
