The story I always heard growing up was that the Romans drank warmed wine out of lead goblets, enjoying the sweetness. Even at the time, there was a strong counter-narrative right alongside it.

If we're talking ancient Mediterranean contact with the New World, what's the actual archaeology/research behind the Mystery Hill site in New Hampshire, USA? I've heard claims that it strongly resembles a Phoenician temple, but these sources were... less than reliable, shall we say.

I thought Alex got his prophecy at Delphi... after roughing up the oracle. (The oracle was closed part of the year, and the kid wasn't having it.)
