  5. How common is it for a pilot to find they prefer being First Officer to being Captain, and voluntarily deciding to stay a FO for their entire airline career? I'm curious.

  9. As a Technical Training Engineer, the fact that they rushed this new tech out without waiting for a proper training regimen to be developed and delivered breaks my heart... and doesn't surprise me one single bit. 😕

  10. Who on earth would take a jumbo jet covertly like this, then ditch it in the middle of absolutely nowhere? Why? Terrorists would have claimed credit; that's the whole point of committing the act. Clearly whoever did it at least intended to survive ditching the plane. Did they rendezvous with a ship?

  13. Here in the USA I see signs for "Known Crewmember Access Point" at many airports. I always wonder what they do with unknown crewmembers. 😂
