  9.  @cuttingbored4195  I think mine has a specific glyph for the top half of an exclamation mark, but yes you backspace and add the period. Or vice versa. Same with a question mark IIRC. I can dig it out and check if you like but my field desk is buried in a bunch of other crates right now.
