@YSLRD At least twice, I couln't understand what he said, even after replaying it, that is, I couldn't make out the words. The purpose of speech is communication. His is sometimes a fail.

The problem was with the dude's diction. In spurts, sometimes at the most important parts of his remarks he talks too fast and slurs incomprehensibly.

If it were more efficient, it would be more profitable. If it were more profitable, somebody would be doing it.

The app uses the car's sensors as well as the cameras on the phone. It said so in the vid, if you had listened.

The system is programmed to use the cars sensors, which usually include radar and sonar.

It uses the sensors built into the car as well. Pay attention!

That's why you do it with open source software, like he is. If there is a backdoor, somebody will mention it and blow the whistle. Of course, in the AI driving data collection mode that trains the AI, where you're going and how is being uploaded (else it wouldn't work, the learning algorithm can't learn without examples), that info would be of use to somebody, if you can turn that off when you want privacy, good deal. You can obviously turn off your cell phone, unhook it and put it in your pocket. I would get the cell phone with separate mechanical switches to turn off each part of it separately. I forget what they call that particular open source phone.

He said we were 30 years away from it. That does not contradict the simulation hypothesis.
