@autisticsimon12 When it's happening on an industrial scale for years a competent constabulary should at least have begun to roll up the operation, and above all never started vilifying the victims and their advocates. There is no continental spin to be had here.

Are you saying you want to censor those who disagree with you? I voted for Cruz in the 2016 primary and Trump in both general elections and the 2020 primary. Reasonable criticism of Trump (aside from false accusations and illegal deceptive oppressive partizan use of law enforcement procedures and assets) needs to be heard, and there's a lot to criticize. You call it virtue signalling, when it is clear that if he was concerned about conforming to the establishment views, he would not be reporting on this story at all. He knows as well as you should that expressing reservations about Trump will not win him any social credit points with the establishment in this matter, so there is none of the ignoble motive associated with "virtue signalling". They only accept total across the board abject conformity, and that only when it's convenient. Are you under the absurd illusion that we are so powerful we can purge potential allies for MAGA purity? You need to wake up to the fact that there is a war going on, and it is not about Trump. To quote a famous statesman, "Democrats are after YOU, I'm just in the way". You WANT virtue signalling, just with the Trump personality cult as your litmus test.

Mistrust and skepticism of Trump in the 2016 primary was anything but pathological. After Rinos sabotaged the repeal of Obamacare and the funding of the border wall early in Trump's first term, he invited Democrats to negotiations at the White House. If Democrat leaders had the imagination to reach out to him then, I am dead certain Trump would have betrayed us. But, no, the Dems were certain they had the upper hand and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. At this time Trump is so mad at the left that he's safe, and can be expected to do many of the right things for many of the wrong reasons. I say this as someone who voted for Trump in the general election three times and in the primary once (2020).

Watch out for the fact that some places don't allow LINKS in the comments, to filter out link bots spamming generic messages that link to a site to generate clicks. You can usually get the link text information through by disrupting the URL format in a manner that an algorithm doesn't recognize it as a link, but a human can read it. This may also work for banned text like S-p-e-n-c-e-r- e-n-d-o-r-s-e-d -B-i-d-e-n.
