If you review Bush's speech, that was the main reason cited: https://www.nytimes.com/2002/10/08/national/president-bushs-speech-on-the-use-of-force.html He also said rather parenthetically that British intelligence said Iraq was seeking yellowcake Uranium from an African country. A nobody husband of a CIA analyst (not an agent) said they weren't. Somehow that was supposed to be proof Bush was wrong or even that he was lying. The yellowcake was found and disposed of after the war.

"British has a long history" One of the reasons they have a long history is because of their competence in espionage, particularly "human intelligence", a British specialty. As for your rant on alleged British aggression and subservience (what a juxtaposition!): If that were at all a fair and balanced view of British history, how would it be relevant to the current subject?

  4.  @reginaldmcnab3265  Colonies were criticized for exploiting the natives. Military bases cost us money and infuse part of it to the natives while defending them. Calling that "empire" is equivocation of the first order.

How the refugees fled the Soviet occupied parts of Germany to what was to become West Germany, because the Soviets were raping civilians and the US and British troops were treating them well. Your notion that this was what somebody (you named no names) in the US wanted is a thoroughly discredited conspiracy theory to which no actual historian subscribes, but even it does not deny the fact of the attack. Then, as I point out elsewhere, Hitler declares war on the US. Barbary War- the Barbary states were conducting piracy and exacting protection money from other nations, that is an act of war. War of 1812, the British navy was kidnapping US citizens to serve aboard British naval vessels. In many of the remainder of the actual (as opposed to your CIA conspiracy theory conflicts) wars, a US ally or an innocent third party was attacked first.
