@robgrey6183 What are you trying to say? That is immoral to support someone defending themselves by any means other than joining him on the front? If he were forcing somebody else to fight for him you comment might begin to make a lick of sense. He didn't claim to be brave, he just showed himself to be decent.

Don't necessarily hate you. If I hated every commenter that distorts an issue, I wouldn't get anything else done these days. Russia intends to annex Ukraine and we both know they DON'T intend to stop there. You call the Western nations colonial powers, ignoring the central point of colonialism. None of the loot sticks to our fingers.

@advisorynotice "Russian tech is absolutely defeating Ukrainian and NATO equipement and Intel, their EW, SIGINT and C4SI abilities are impressive" If you want to compare the technical sophistication of Russian and NATO equipment, you might want to consult those who have trained and fought with the former and are now training and beginning to fight with the latter. They say it's like trading in a Lada for a Tesla. Russia has a lot of gear and, to recycle a Cold War phrase, "Quantity has a quality all it's own." But I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Russia will never OUTPRODUCE Ukraine's allies. Unless something unforeseen changes, every passing day makes a Russian victory less likely. Either Russia wins NOW, or they lose.

@GusOfTheDorks We're not going to avoid WW3 by repeating the mistakes that got us into WW2. We tried "leave it alone and hope Putin's aims are limited" when Putin invaded Georgia and when Putin invaded Crimea. It didn't work. The lack of a meaningful response is read by an aggressive dictator as a green light. He and his successors are going repeat the same pattern every Democrat administration all the way to Spain until he's stopped. The sooner the easier.

@SkywalkerPaul "They could have given the Donbass to Russia and spare the destruction of their country" They tried that with Crimea and it didn't work. Putin drew the obvious conclusion, waited for another Democrat administration and drove for Kiev. He didn't even pause in the Donbass and negotiate. You only consider Russia stopping at Donbass to be on the table BECAUSE OF UKRAINIAN SUCCESSES. Russia will only be deterred from repeating this in a decade or less if they lose some ground they had before the started the thing. They need to lose part of Crimea. A return to the pre-Obama administration borders would put this nonsense to bed for good and all, and restore the credibiity of the West, to the general benefit of world peace.

@WindingEssensialsTogether "Absolute truths do not exist" Is that absolutely true? "Everything in your head is based on emotion" Math is in your head. Well, you have this big text wall full of unsupported assertions, but obviously you have already established a pattern of neglecting to vet your assertions for truth. Not surprising from one who stipulates he doesn't believe in truth. If there is no truth then statements cannot possess that attribute. One who actually believes such a thing isn't actually engaging in a discussion in the ordinary human way. He is making noises to thaumaturgically manipulate the human-shaped cardboard cutouts around him for his amusement and profit. There is no more "meaning" in his "words" than in the braying of an ass.

@floydlooney6837 "It should have started in 2014" It wouldn't have worked in 2014. Ukraine wasn't ready.

@jonathanbuzzard1376 "Exactly how many cluster munitions is the USA purchasing to replace the ones sent to Ukraine?" Every round of artillery has to be replaced, and should be budgeted at replacement cost.

"some people just like to fight." So long as fighting needs to be done, they might as well scratch the itch, so long as they are observing the rules.
