  1. Still no answer to #Phil LaMoore's question about motive. Regardless of the circumstances, only two explanations make sense: 1. An error after all. 2. A communist infiltrator in the Isreali chain of command. Certainly communist sympathizers had a motive for planting these "pilot testimonies" after the fact. Without a motive, no claims to the contrary are credible. Many "friendly fire" incidents accrue in every war. Why is it that this isolated incident from 66 years ago keeps being brought up? It's not the incident itself, its how it's how it fits into the narratives of the enemies of the US and those of Israel. The enemies of the US want to peal off a major ally (that is why leftist international policy is so hostile to Israel), and enemies of Israel want to peel off Israel's most powerful ally.
