  1. When Magic got HIV, it was a privileged disease, (at the time with a much lower survival percentage, though that changed later) and it was not PC for other players to object to playing with him. Now the PC opinion is reversed, and it is the same people with the opposite opinion. These policies and shibboleths obviously were chosen for their political ramifications without reference to science.
