@thegeneralist7527 Democracy is one of many measures the founding fathers used to disperse power to avoid despotism. The harmony of enforced unanimity is not worth the price of freedom (and prosperity, and truth, etc.). Democracy may well be necessary for freedom, but it is certainly insufficient.
