His inherited wealth? His status as an icon action film hero? His political connections? His slavish devotion to the establishment party line? His athletic ability? His booming voice? His mild and pandering manner and content? You mention two persons as though the "Club of Geniuses" has two members. The word simply and clearly does not mean what you're trying to make it mean. Newton has some claim to equality with or superiority to any in his field. Beethoven is simply not as good as Bach (nobody is). Both have stood the test of time. We (by definition) can't know which of our CONTEMPORARIES will pass that test, or with what grade. While a noted musician in his own time, Bach's full stature wasn't appreciated until after his death.
