" Destroying his bill before they even saw it." After it's passed it would be too late to stop it (except by a court challenge, which should strike it down). It has federal mandates against state measures necessary to secure the vote, that's all a reasonable person needs to know. The US Constitution puts regulation of the elections in the hands of the state governments. The only reason why a person would support this bill is if they thought their own party was better poised and more disposed to cheat, and were down with that.

@nonameissafer.8457 Absentee voting as practiced for decades is NOT the same as mail in voting with the safeguards removed as was done in 2020.

@bloodyhotspur2915 Your response to S J M makes no sense. She knows about those things that they went out in the '60s. You can vote ABSENTEE, in the old regulated way, there is no need for the new, unsecured protocol.

@humanresources3545 "banned mail in ballots" in the unregulated sense allowed in 2020. The old absentee ballots as we always had before are still good.

@humanresources3545 No, they are not the same thing. Mail-in voting as introduced and practiced in 2020 lacks the checks of absentee voting as it has been done for decades.
