@worldoftancraft What a paradoxical view of history you have. By the time the Battle of Stalingrad had even begun, the US and UK were already shipping aid in bulk to the Soviet Union, mostly food a first, but constantly trucks and fuel, shipped in by Anglo-American convoys fighting through the German attempt at blockade. The defenders of Stalingrad almost starved as it was, and would certainly have starved without that aid. By the time the USSR had turned to the offensive, The US had been supplying, and continued to supply, Sherman tanks in vast numbers to all the allies including the Soviet Union. The UK also supplied the USSR with some tanks. The US and the UK also supplied the Soviets with combat and logistics aircraft. 90% of the trucks supporting the Soviet offensive logistical effort were Studebaker trucks shipped in from US factories, and the bulk of the fuel was from the US as well. Without that aid the Soviet offensive would not have been possible logistically or materially. Shortly after the US declaration of war, the US sent ground forces to aid the British effort to push the Axis powers out of Northern Africa. In November of 1942, the US opened an African front of its own in Operation Torch. The Anglo-American offensive pushed the Axis out of Africa, and deprived them of their main source of oil. This began well before the end of the Stalingrad battle and the start of the Soviet offensive, and paved the way for the subsequent Anglo-American invasions of Sicily and Italy, which took Italy out of the war. This also caused Hitler to divert forces from his eastern to his southern front during the pivotal period. --But "The USSR defeated Germany single handed." Now the West sends Ukraine a few weapons, ammo, and some humanitarian aid. --and Russia boasts of fighting NATO. Do you not see the inconsistency?

@francescozambaldi8212 "US isn't a 3rd world country outside cities?" Are you actually trying to claim that it is? I don't even need to tell you that I live in the Midwest hundreds of miles from major cities and we have all the amenities of modern technological life and have since before I was born in 1959. Part of the reason why we have had such a high per capita GDP and productivity is because nearly the whole country has participated in a modern technological economy with a robust infrastructure. The reason why I don't have to tell you this is because our whole country is an open book. We don't restrict travel. We don't ban photography or filming. If what you say were true, our many enemies would have photographic evidence of it.

The Russians haven't managed to do that in over 200 years. We can show them how to develop a frontier for something besides killing dissidents.

Well, I'm a conservative and I support Ukraine. Appeasement is not a historically or traditionally "conservative" position. Nowadays populism and conservatism are being confused for one another.

Imagine the concept of the RUSSIAN NAVY BLOCKADING the US and Canada. Set aside the fact that the US has the world's most powerful navy, and that both the Canadian and US air forces are capable of attacking warships, if the Russian navy even tried to SORTIE that far UNOPPOSED half the ships would break down and have to be towed home. I'm afraid those misinformed senior slaves will have to go on feeling unsafe. The fact that they are afraid of Canadian access to the North Sea tells the tale.
