  2. What claims? Are you implying that the rate will continue to accelerate? Does your analysis factor in the increased photosynthesis caused by increased CO2? The carbon cycle is homeostatic.

  4. Hydro is good, but used to capacity (centralized hydro anyway, there is scope for localized hydro down to the household level). There are some Scandinavian countries which, by a natural dispensation have enough hydroelectric power to run their grid on it. Most countries, including the US, do not have enough suitable sites for this. Even so, the environmentalists consistently OPPOSE hydroelectric power.

  6. Uranium and Thorium are not fossil fuels, and would power the US for 100,000 years. Fusion would do better.
