@circles79 If nobody but an "expert" is allowed to notice that an "expert" is wrong we don't have a Republic.

@Shannon-ij1pm "expertise" There is no body of knowledge that inoculates a person from corruption, overweening ambition, and self dealing. Only ACCOUNTABILITY can do that. This is a step toward restoring accountability. The next is civil service reform to make it easier to fire bureaucrats.

@Aldorainesnazihunter "you can still bring suit" But with Chevron deference, you couldn't win, guilty until proven innocent.

@crlake You assume that the bureaucracy has our interests at heart. Why should they? Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The "capitalist" AS SUCH, can only hire or bribe. An unchecked authoritarian government can do that (with other people's money), plus arrest, torture, and kill you or your family. It is incoherent to fear the former and not fear the latter. No "angel" is available to bear this power benignly. The more powerful the government is, the more incentive corporations have to capture it. As things have stood recently, with Chevron deference and civil service limits on firing bureaucrats, the corporations have more accountability to the consumer through consumer activism than the bureaucrats have to anybody.
