@Megadog33 You're missing the point, in order to have race relations problems, the place you grew up had to have multiple races. Knowing segregation existed does not make it "real" to you and her misunderstanding the sign is perfectly plausible to able to imagine a person not immersed in politics.

You're giving him too much credit. He was just ignorant and arrogant. Not that flat earthers aren't, but their ignorance is on a higher level. Flat Earthers believe the Apollo program was a hoax. The reviewer didn't know there was an Apollo program. I remember when the movie was out in theaters I told a co-worker I was going to see it, he said "What's that move about, anyway?". I laughed at him, but I could just as well have cried.

How could Goddard have sued "The German government" for patent infringement? The NAZI regime would not have entertained a claim from a nation with which they were at war and it would have been pointless for the postwar German government to have claimed intellectual property on technology that three powers occupying Germany were freely using and building upon.

"Buzz punched the fuck out of a conspiracy dude saying he didnt actually go." Yes, but the dude did considerably worse, the 30 year old called the 55 year old Aldrin a liar and a coward to his face in so many words.

"Long in the tooth" is a phrase that means "old" not "lengthy".

The explosion in the oxygen tank was a thermal one, because the tank heater was stuck on, a result of an earlier error in cleaning up after a maintenance/test procedure on the ground. There was no chemical explosion caused by a spark (until after that oxygen and some of the adjacent hydrogen tanks burst). Oxygen does not burn/explode chemically in the absence of a fuel to burn.

Verne also predicted that the capsule would be made of aluminum and carry 3 men.

"Stalin's aggressive efforts at industrialization had become the key to winning the war". The key to the Soviet Union holding out and ESPECIALLY to the counteroffensive afterward was allied lend-lease aid. To be sure the T-34 was the one world-class product the SU ever made, and it was the right product at the right time, but it would not have been enough to stave off the Wehrmacht, by the time of the battle of Stalingrad, USSR couldn't even feed it's fighters and workers without outside help. The tooling for many of the factories in which the Soviet workers were working had been imported from the US. Without the shipped-in truck factories and trucks, the Soviet Union would not have had the logistics for an offensive, even if they held out at Stalingrad, not to mention British and US tanks and US strike fighters.
