@markstanding8538 A common fallacy of utopian ideologues is that human nature is inherently good, but is being held back by some flaw in the social contract. In fact, the same flawed, imperfect, selfish, stupid nature that infests the lord, or the "capitalist", infests the revolutionary. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The "capitalist" AS SUCH, can only hire or bribe. An unchecked authoritarian government can do that (with other people's money), plus arrest, torture, and kill you or your family. It is incoherent to fear the former and not fear the latter. No "angel" is available to bear this power benignly.

Galileo was arrested for insulting the Pope, not for a cosmological theory, that's a closer analogy to current censorship.

@Midland_Wolf_71 "Challenged"? It is the suppression of challenge that free speech is against. You're projecting your attitude on us. You're willing to suppress contrary voices, therefore you assume we are. If your only source of knowledge is the censoring party, you could well be oblivious of censorship unless you happen to get censored. The "Twitter Files" document the mechanism of collusion, denied for years. The fact of censorship is in the public domain and the denial of the fact is meaningless at this point.
