"if you made a copy it would not be a copy" If the entirety of mind is an epiphenomenon of the brain state on the level of structural biochemistry in the cell or higher, then the memories would be the same. Unless you believe that memories transcend the brain. You, and Bill , are simply dodging the question with an irrational chimera.
