Frostbite1003 Not at all, a 6 digit number takes about 20 bits to store, there are 78489 primes between 1 and 999999, even if it store all the number in six digit form (000007 intead of 7 for example) it would take only about 190 kilobytes, pretty much nothing.

This only works because the number is so big that it doesn't "fit" the caculator screen and it rounds up. These are near misses.

It is believed now that Fermat didn't know the solution, he probably knew a faulty one. To prove it they needed XX century mathematics and hundreds of brilliant minds. There was NO way he knew how to prove it back then.

so a and b aren't integers? but even if it isnt integer you can always multiply by 10,100,1000, etc and have integer numbers right?

You said that sqrt2 cannot be written as a fraction but doesnt the size of a piece of paper make a fraction that is euqal sqrt2?
