  6.  @panyaboonc5621  You didn't get it quite right. Chinese speak many different dialects not languages. They have one unifying language, that is Mandarin. They speak one language and have one written script, Mandarin. Every dialect read from the same script. Ex, they may speak in different dialects, but the same script, that is one written language. Hokkien, I'm a Hokkien , Teochew, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Hakka, etc.... speak differently but the writing is all the same. Ex, the word "come" spoken or pronounced differently by all dialects but the writing is all the same, written as 来. This is the written form in Mandarin and is common, spoken or written, to all Chinese. In English, ex, the same written word "schedule" is pronounced or spoken differently in UK the British and US the American. Chinese although have many dialects has on common unifying language Mandarin. Not so for Indians. Indians have many languages, Tamil, Telegu, Malayalsm, Punjabi, urdu, Hindi, etc.... all written and spoken differently. Correct me if I'm wrong. Indians do not have one unifying language. That's why Indians are not as united as the Chinese are. And in China majority 80% are atheist being communist, no religion, and no caste system. Not so in India. That explains why China could progress so rapidly. On top of that, there's only one political party in China. If you Google, you will see that there are 2,294 political parties in India. India is too diverse for its own good. That's why even Jayant Bhandari an Indian himself said : India will eventually disintegrate into many smaller countries. No offence intended. Just quoting him from his observation. Read into the history of India. In fact, before British time there was no India. There were many kingdoms each with its own maharaja, with its own language and culture.
