Nothing is what it was in the 70s. Its all been corrupted by capitalism and willingly by the people. Exactly the same thing happened in Germany, Nazis came to power not by force, not by internal conflict, they came into power because the German people wanted it, a wow and a praise. When the political classes are polarized so are the economic relations. Disapproval of Congress is 81%. Happens to Americans that a poll will show 65% disapproval of Congress...still does not change Congress. Congresses make it impossible to get anything done for these young republics. Older, richer, republics love to spend when the spending enhances (strengthens) their rule. Any other time spending is stringent, cheap. Austerity and Attrition are cardinal rules of republics. There are too many small elites usurping the land to sell to foreign corporations a crop by the tons. While the main body of the society are nearly 65% native handicraft industries tied to small scale farming are communities losing more of the land they farmed for thousands of years. Minority Rule would displace more of them into a proletariat for which the low level of industry the minority elites never developed in Peru could not absorb the surplus of free labor, or labor for sale, and off they go, looking for a better life up north. Fully disconnected from the land they enter the world of capitalism as free agents, prey for drug lords, slave traffickers and coyotes,--- waiting to snatch every cent from them only to die in the desert if they are not lucky enough to make it alive. I would say revolutions can not proceed with a stubborn minority holding it back,---the first step is a nullification of the Congress.

If right and left social movements at the level of the society come together to create an anti-war movement that movement will grow, but it will not have the cosmetic appeal of other movements that have no revolutionary substance to them. The very act of coming together by formerly separate individual movements is revolutionary in itself. It was a success in my book to see a variety of people more representative of America come together.

America’s unique type of authority in history depends on a labor-process and a working class that cannot be its own authority. Both men very well explain who does what in relation to the scandalous extraction of surplus value and controlling their individual armies of employees. “We are still a prisoners to these war mongers...” precisely. The feeling of imprisonment affirms the absence of a self-directing authority of the working classes. The working masses get praise for developing the productive powers and the sacrifices this extraction process takes on society by giving our co-operation to no benefit of the working class.

Can't forget the Iraq War Veterans, so angry at the liberal establishment who at the time was Joe Biden put them in harms way using 9/11 for a call for freedom and liberty against Sadaam Hussien and liberate Iraq. The Vets came back destroyed, and used the only power they have to elect Trump, a spite vote against the liberal establishment. What did the left do? Nothing. Grumman, GE, all the arms makers. He then became VP to Obama, hand picked by Obama to initiate another war, the war we are in today. The next group of Veterans sent to war are not going to come back because now they will be fighting entire nations in the Middle East. As for Trump, he is the wrong man for the job, wrong, wrong, wrong. Only Bernie opposed the Iraq War. Vote Bernie if you are going to vote, its the last chance to restore America back to its original roots of American progressivism.

I think this means that the Left needs to make educational mass videos on Laser Light Fusion and emphasize how the social relations of capitalism are not promoting this free and clean energy source as the alternative to the mining exploitations of the masses taking place in Africa for cobalt and lithium...is what I think.

RFK Jr.s is still a part of the entire class of dynastic political families ruling over the State and America is the disappointing aspect to his legacy. This doesn’t mean he is biased and will do harm to working people personally it means that without a working class perspective on the economy and world affairs he cannot explain why policies start out with an ideal end up as the opposite of what they intended. It is not enough to condemn capitalism in general and than react to crisis; it is more important to root out the exploitation at its source. He is too emotionally involved to his own family that he could not flip the economy to work for working people without his own family’s class interest holding the short end of the stick.

If you were to get into the mind of Musk or Bezos, they worry less about losing their power to workers working more than the work time needed to keep them on a payroll as a workforce; Musk and Bezos do not care if the value their workers create is greater than the value Bezos and Musk pays them, or their workers give them more value in return than the value their wages can buy. The main concern and this is what the article is about, reveals the logic of capitalism, is the amount of use-values the workers consume during the workday must always be smaller than the amount of use-values the workers create. A surplus must always be left over. Were the workers to work only for their own self-consumption, there would be nothing left over. Had the Sandinistas in the 70's trained the Central American people on how to use arms and military tactics, a training school of their own. The Central American people would not be in the condition they re in now. They would been able to confront the American trained military and give them a real fight for their money. The Spanish Left in Central America should have learned the example of the American Lincoln Brigade who fought Franco and the Catalonian anarchists who fought the fascists and made Catalonia the richest province in all of Spain because they fought the fascists and armed the peasants and workers. Not to mention when looking at footage, the Honduran military looks like an easy army to beat. There is something so denigrating and immoral about living under the boot of Washington that the feelings of Central Americans are going to one explode into a form of barbarism sometime in the future when these victims become adults.

People are purposely made unaware of the fact that Capital is creating itself through us. Money is being transformed. It is changing form creating incomes. Money finds its way into industries where it can become profit. All the other categories we are creating below do the same thing to reproduce themselves, ultimately, these objects (incomes) are the master of all subjects (people). Profit income, wage income, interest, tax, rent, price, these are all incomes social classes that correspond to those incomes depend on for their survival. It appears to me the great conflict in this century in the American scene is between US labor on the one side and the struggle to retain control of the state on the other side by the owners of financial wealth and property. I seriously doubt they will not submit to American interests. I think it nieve to assume elites electing themselves will take a path to develop Ecuador. To me it appears the wealthy classes profit under the heel of US agricultural, mining, and financial interests so why would the self-elected change or bite the hand that enriches them when the Ecuadorian people are the ones working for the repayment of IMF loans the self-elected borrow in their name. Ecuador is nothing more than a gravy train of free money for the wealthy. If anything it looks more like the formation of a larger plan to contain communism around the world with a series of sentry states pointing guns at Nicaragua, Cuba, anywhere else willing to not submit to US interests. I think historians will write this phase of neo-liberalism as a dark chapter in Ecuador’s development.

Bargaining what it cost to live from the market basket of goods in Peru is a tremendous sacrifice for the indigenous populations that might produce in one hour a fraction of what the US would produce in one hour. The only persons of the same generation and of the right wing who has not been on the J Dore show is Joe Rogan, Musk, Trump Jr., brothers. Not many prominent leftists have appeared on the Greyzone. There are 15,000 coordinated and organized right wing radio stations beamed straight into where the working class spends four hours a day, in their cars, in America,--- and of the Podcasters there are a zillion people with their own show and their own opinion, fragmented podcastors can only be seen on a cell phone or some other portable device, ----not united that would bring their audience to a more critical analysis of social reality in America. The right wing has a captured audience and the left has a fragmented audience. Additionally, the devices themselves, i.e., cell phones, laptops, absorbed the free time of workers in part, by their own volition ( they will develop scoliosis of the spine in their older age) in part by the will imposed on them by their employers. This is partially the reason the left lost the election. Apart from the fact that the Far Left by not galvanizing their audiences into electronic, panels, conferences, task groups, zoom with Latin American and European movements, allowed the centrists in their party to decide all the working class issues in the party for them. A democratic left that was cheated of a primary as irony would have it.

Any country that builds up its military will make their working populations poorer. The higher the level of military expenditure a country has the poorer its working people will be. @Elysian Fields,---Hard to call America a democracy when America is half democratic. When you become a full democracy you can make that claim with pride but until then you are still a republic and a half dictatorship. Why do I say this because there are two parts to every society; a part that puts wealth into the hands of all and the part that makes the wealth. In the second part where wealth is produced democracy does not exist. Work is dictated by an authority. You don’t like there’s the door the Constitution of the Republic has no authority in the workplace. Outside of the area where wealth is produced is democratic; you are free to tell the boss to kiss your ass, as long as it is not on the bosses’ property, the cops will leave you alone; so in the sense that everyone is equal that just is not true once you enter the world of work as a partner involved in a job that you did not create.

There is that word again ‘Empire”, used by most leftists I encounter...you make the association the empire are people. An empire is a thing, its your nations’ total economic surplus and how that works is really quite simple. You are taxed. When you permit the super rich to not pay taxes and the government collects from you and not them exclusively, soon to be made a permanent feature of your ill-fated democracy, the democracy that isn’t you are giving the super rich the power to appropriate your empire. The sum total of money and commodities and the productiveness of your nation’s working class is the empire. Neither of these three items are living beings. Money, goods and since workers sell their labor-power as a commodity the productivity in them is a thing outside of their person and belongs to whomever purchased that commodity. Being militarily strong and left industrially weak is not cheap for labor and the cost of permanent war is paid by money that could make America industrially strong and raise the standard of living for labor from what thery are now. Trillions going into war is irrational spending and from a rational labor point of view the wars are a means only to preserve the rule of the rich who decide the wars but never fight them. The Libyan model subjugates the American taxpayer to a theory, a capitalist theory of permanent war and permanent revolution, a never ending cycle of violence. Its an example of what a theory of permanent war would produce for those using it as the official policy of the US, to preserve their political and economic power.

Europe is likely to go east with the BRIC nations going east. Do American workers know they are exploited at a higher rate by capitalism and capitalists than European workers are? American workers are spontaneous responding to the crisis thrown at them with grace until they reach a point and implode from the stress. COVID, mass firings, inflation, cuts while war spending continues drives domestic prices up. Fed uses rates to push prices down forces wages lower. Ukraine is a homogenous society consisting mainly of white people. I think what we are witnessing in India is the creation of agricultural working class after all the reforms being pushed through open up the land for commercial speculation and the small plot holdings of millions of independent farmers are privatized. France was the bloodiest 1789. I am at the tail end of the Baby Boomer generation. Boomers owe it to Millennials their time and dedication to unite as a social force for change. Politically aware Retired people have the time and the life experience. Millennials need the hindsight of age behind their actions. Boycotts and strikes combined is how solidarity can play out. Boomers do not know what products to what industries millennials fight against. Combining the two generations is significant social power for planned and spontaneous pressure. I never liked protest placards. I like one large banner and if placards are a must they should read the same thing stating the section of the population carrying them by occupation. One universal message and one united group is the function of a banner. “End Violence Now” covers all violence in every form. Universal messages get lost when placards read a bunch of single issues. Authorities are then able to twist words against a movement and the messaging makes them think protesters are dumb. Their attitude then lowers the quality of the opponent. The new politician runs against an incumbent is worse than the incumbent even when you think they were better than the last one, is true at the national level. Locally things are different. It would be a revolution without violence if people planned boycotts, strikes and hold events of solidarity.

The left seems to lack insight into the limits within which Kahn could not disentangle himself. The political and social structure of Pakistan’s military itself had him trapped,-- the only way out was to be ousted. His other way out would have been a coup taking all power, but that would have not have been a social revolution. The problem with American society and the working class is right inside that very image we are watching of these two men in that lofty space discussing what the problem with capitalism is. This is the why labor recives no share of its own product in the US. A wage is the commodity-form of the product and profits are the income of the money-form of the commodity bought and sold.

Hard to call America a democracy when America is half democratic. When you become a full democracy you can make that claim with pride but until then America is still a republic and a half dictatorship. Why do I say this? There are two parts to every society; a part that puts wealth into people’s hands and a part that makes wealth. In the second part where wealth is produced democracy does not exist. Work is dictated by an authority. If you don’t like the job there’s the door the Constitution of the Republic has no authority in the workplace that gives you the right to make the job according to what you think is right is what a boss will tell you. Outside of the area where people create wealth is democratic; you are free to tell all bosses in general to kiss your ass outside of the workplace, but you cannot say that to a particular boss inside the workplace where the criticism counts, so in the sense that everyone is equal; that just is not true once you enter the world of work as a partner involved in a job that you did not create. Constitutional Republics chronically entrenched by dictatorship are hybrid democracies. Democracies in waiting because the workplace is still a place where the relation of master-slave appearing in different social forms down through the ages takes the social form of a employer-employee relation in America and in west Europe.

It is true that if America went socialist the world would go socialist and vice versa, if it is capitalist the world becomes capitalist. The term “empire” does not work for me. Empire is the productivity of labor and its economic surplus, total GDP. The task is to place that productivity of labor into the hands of the actors of the productivity of labor not into the hands of the owners of that productivity of labor. Its the relationships between surplus product and the degree of exploiting the labor of that product. Its the difference between value and the value of its constituent elements. Its the amount of use-values necessary for social reproduction that the value side of GDP registers as a given level of exploitation. Its a crucial relationship between which the class struggle is explained qualitatively and class expansion is explained quantitatively, that the term ‘empire’ hides. Empire is a cultural term of enigmatic importance; it suggests that it does not belong to the rulers but the actors of that productivity are not fit to appropriate their own labor. The recruitment standards for joining the military expresses the level of exploitation a working class experiences; a direct consequence of higher GDP and capital expansion.

Two things Americans must be more mindful about is the double function of the tendency for capitalism to over produce. It used to be thought the source of capitalism's downfall is overproduction. Through mass psychology they managed to turn overproduction into a double edged sword and tool for social control. This means, if all countries do the same with their excess, and they do, their militaries are never out of petro fuel and the populations are in dire straights without it. The second thing about over production people should take more seriously is the storing of a mass of goods for the gradual consumption of the rich and powerful. This action withdraws commodiites from circulation, and... ...withholding money from circulation is another way overproduction is effected. When too much of one currency or too little is present in circulation for all goods to change hands causes indusries to over and under produce their commodity. These are serious effects controlling the mass of Americans as they are able to control consumption habits and biology of the masses and keep them in perpetual need and dependency when overproduction is used in a controlling manner.
