  2. America desperately needs land reform on a national basis to stop climate change. The right of the market to decide how to use the land and produce from the land, how much to expend of labor and resources on the land, cannot be sustained.

  4. The hope of casting off feudalism in the Middle East the aristocracies, monarchies, kings and princes, peasant, serf and kinship tribal landowners was lost with the defeat of the Arab Spring. That was a genuine working class and people movement that could have turned the civil wars into revolutionary wars inspiring all the lower social classes in the region to overthrow their respective regimes and establish a civil society with a secular government the way Mosaddegh had done in Iran. If the Iranian government had not been a religious clerical revolution of the political sphere but a social revolution of the public sphere it would have promoted the Arab Spring as a way of ending feudalism.

White Americans have been psychologically tested upon guinea pigs as consumers for the media industry who's profits come from selling airtime to every corporation that emerged out of the second world war.

  7. A piece of the story I missed was the extremely measly diet of the workers consumed during this ordeal of finding where to dig for oil. Digging sand holes all day in the heat of the desert to place dynamite and then freeze at night...and for how long? Must have been a horrendous experience for them in the 1950s.

  12. It will be interesting to see who rises through the party after Xi. Its made clear the South China Sea, Taiwan, Tibet and Hong Kong are unfinished business for China as holdovers of the British Colonial Era and the Opium Wars. They were prizes taken by force and exploitation and never resolved is the historical side of Xi’s political framework and, perhaps, Kissinger would have understood better than State department officials now.

  13. A disgraceful and despicable history of American colonialism and expropriation.  Each generation is tested by history to shape historical circumstances or be shaped by them. I really hope this generation changes America.
