The problem with the tactics of change used by the pirates, however is that in capitalism when there is a shortage of a commodity the price of that commodity rises in the market and the work of the pirates is successful in getting a ransom but the ransom is only a fraction of what the oil rich corporation will fetch from the shortage of oil it unloads on the open world market. The actions of the pirates abet the accumulation of capital and so far the US Marines have not been asked by Exxon-Mobil to come in and restore order.
