  1. I read Percival Sweetwater's comment and the others who replied. In the week of October 18th just past, 15,000 workers in Warsaw demanded of the government an ownership share of GNP.  Not higher pay, not low gas prices but an ownership share of what they produce. I think city/urban workers in the US should demand the same thing.  Rural and suburban workers in America are terrorized and isolated, they have no capacity to organize or lead. In the US, the Fed has been wise to keep inflation down. Employment in the US in Main Street is still sketchy, dicy, and dangerous. Employers at the street level are not a diverse industry at all, one can find a job but in some generic capacity, not in line with what a person hoped to become in life. Disappointments are huge in this working class. America has a gazillion malcontents and ingrates. It has no social mechanism to assist the unskilled trying to fit into a socially changing society. If you create a socially changing society then put money into it. One of the ways America creates its social diversity is through war. When it invests it goes overboard.  The ideas and the way the politics are viewed by the average person are upside down and backwards. Immense confusion and false thinking. For example, the Democratic party, why be kind to immigrants and not be anti-war as the best form of kindness. They stay home. Problem gone. To the Republicans, why be anti-immigrant and not be pro-war. Desist war if you hate immigrants so much. These irrationalities follow a motive making social diversity a necessity or a dependency by the economy. This irrational men shooting up Jews and Blacks would mean something if they turned their guns of the makers of war. But since bullets went in the wrong direction of the makers of these irrational policies the actions are remarkable of ignorance. America has a powerful working class that is at this time, ignorant as hell of its rightful claim to the economic surplus. Wall Street owes its existence to the American tax payer. The right wing decided to give that money to bankers or the game is over for them. That decision never would have happened or been left to the right wing exclusively if the workers had ownership of GNP. The Polish workers are smarter than the American ones but not as strong, just strong enough to feel confident enough to demand it. America has a news black out active on this event. Violence seems to emanate from all pours of the body politic and the social economy to feed and keep secure 130 million workers, among these only 30 million are industrial workers and only 20% are union, 6 million union workers left. Its a stupid way to live as a worker but a smart way if your are not a worker. Claiming GNP is that much harder, easier to organize 15,000 than 6 million to launch off a campaign for security and sustenance never to be used against you. The advantage the Polish workers have over American ones is that they do not have all the social barriers impeding them from a head on collision course with the right wing, a face to face challenge is not diverted by all these episodes of abnormalcy as it is in the US. Everyone has to work in Manhattan to achieve their dreams. A huge separation exists between town and county in the US. This is maintained by the difference between federal, state, and private lands, that keeps industry concentration in the city and prevents the spread of industry across the population. This opposition is really sharp in the US. The right wing do nit care how their cities and countrysides develop. Considering that unionization failed and the government failed to unify the nation with its productive forces that leaves the products backing the dollar that should be claimed as worker equity and, therefore, ownership. Poland enjoyed a good economic run in the previous decade and the workers felt they were the ones responsible for digging Poland out of a recession, they marched before the capitol; no incidence of violence reported. Their position is why accept wages when you can go for the whole pie?
