  55. The decade of the 90s was the only period of prosperity in America after the last period of prosperity in the decade of the 50s. Between the 90s and now its hell on Earth. There has not been a peaceful prosperous future for the last 25 years in the west for nations beyond their own individual wealthy elites since the start of the Iraq invasion. Perpetual war, these people are divorced from the real world. In the last 20 years never mind the last 25 or 30, we saw the rise of the Yellow Vest movement in France, we saw Brexit, a break away vote from the EU, we saw Greece get economically strangled, we saw drought, famine, climate disasters, recession in all of the European economies, a Great Recession bigger than the Great Depression of the 30s, a Pandemic, we saw the rise of digital currency as a way of not using the Dollar for trade and commerce, and so much more has happened, not to mention western allies abandoned in Afghanistan. We saw Russia bogged down by extremists receiving guns and money from Congress as a matter of policy among Congressional senators and to the average American for losing jobs of no fault of their own, a measly check. We saw riots in every city. Children shot in the crossfire of civil society falling prey to police violence and overkill. We saw barbarism in America...2 million elderly dead from COVID and Nursing Home disasters. We are in an inflation. These elites won’t even do what Nixon did to curb inflation. Why should I believe Elites presiding over the last 20 years will bring peace and prosperity in the next 20 years? You’d have to be a psychotic like they to claim they are worthy of my vote in the next round of elections, assuming election are not rigged, another thing we saw under their watch. We saw the rise of Donald Trump as an expression of how much the elites are despised by the 74 million Americans. They are not sincere on the words they speak. When they get into power the first entity to get the appropriation of the nation’s wealth is the military, year in and year out, as the only program worthy of government funding tells you something about who they are.

  58. In the context of the World Inequality Report, getting workers back to work is essential because otherwise 70% of all land, capital and tools would be unused, unproductively consumed. If mandates and vaccines get people back to work the top 10% are happy. It means labor and capital are rejoined and the means are productively consumed. But if labor and capital remain apart then societies are in peril of survival. But for the many who are unvaccinated the mandates cut into personal freedom outside of work. The contradiction is no freedom of choice on the job, be vaccinated or be out of a job. The employer position brings into question the half-nature of freedom in America. Are we free when you are not free? The report shows a humanity divided into three parts. The poorest, the middle, and the rich. The rich who have the means are few with the greatest freedom inside work and outside of the job, and the poor who have no income or wealth and no freedom if they do have a job, n choice but to be vaccinated or perish. Our minds and bodies are not fully owned by us on the job(s) becomes the philosophical and legal question of what defines citizenship as free in modern America? World Inequality Report of 2022, Thomas Pikety and Emmanuel Siaz, Lucas Chancel and Gabrielle Zuckman, released Dec 12, 2022 The report tracks capitalism over 3 centuries. Bottom 50% of 2.2 billion people have no income and even less wealth. Poorest 50% got under 10% to share all the income there was to be had. In contrast, the richest 10% got 52% of all income. The middle, (you and I fit in this group) 40% of 2.2 billion people got 40% of all income to be had. 50% of us (2.2 bn) own 2% of wealth. Top 10% own 76% of the world’s wealth.
