  4. Excellent diagnosis GEP...and wages are the only commodity whose price will not go up! ...all other commodity prices will rise but not the price the employers pay to get people to work for them... Understanding why a ‘double standard” exists is to understand the double role workers are cast to play in the US class system. Workers do the work itself; but it is the surplus value they create through work, employers want to buy at a fixed price in exchange for higher productivity outputs. Bessent is telling the US labor force, the employers are not going to pay wages higher than they are now... ...consumption costs per individual in society will cost you and I more to live because industries returning to produce in the US will have a higher capital costs producing in the US...the result of leaving the US and coming back to an age old outdated system that cannot outdo China...the answer block China or defeat in a war and buy labor power cheap at home... two economic realities in a head on collision... for the employers...the only commodity part of that capital cost of the employers that can be lowered is labor-power...the economic reality for employees...millennial workers of ages 30 and 40 + years old...are being told they will never afford property for the creation of generational wealth in their lifetime, and the lifetime shortens, are radical ankle bracelets on the legs of millennials in society told they will not be a class member in this society, told they are a loss of humanity, nothing left but to redeem themselves through a total redemption of humanity. We must encourage this generation told they will become the desperate who have nothing left to lose,--- a world awaits them win they win. ...

  6. Great Video: I think the MAGA architects of this Grand Social Experiment, leads inevitably to the creation of an apartheid state, or a partitioning of the nation on grounds of race, the rest of the world will reject, and go with China. In their MAGA hands they have the powerful productive forces of the US made to perfection by expert criminals. This is about the only change I see, they are not the original criminal designers of the powerful productive forces, they are the capitalist class in charge of these forces at play. They have yet to remove each fiefdom these forces continue to belong not entirely convinced of the Grand Social Experiment. Fact is, everyone produces something. A musician produces music, a thinker produces thoughts, a poet poems, etc. A criminal produces crimes. If we look exclusively at crime in America, criminals produce criminal law, and the criminal provides society with criminologists lecturing on criminal law,. The criminal produces a whole lot of police and sheriffs, special divisions, judges, hangmen, juries, and a whole industry of different capacities to create new ways of satisfying these professions,--- thanks to the criminal. The idea is that if there aren’t any criminals in socialist societies there isn’t a criminal state running them. Not to say there isn’t corruption. It is to say that attacks on property don’t happen in socialist societies worth discussing as a real attack on property. More than the total population of the US own property in China. The “peasants”* in China have enough respect for private property to not defile it with crime reflects a shift in thinking about property in general, too hard for western minds to grasp stuck in the framework of property as a limitation, as he/she has more than me. Can’t hide the fact, America in its present state is anti-private property, ownership is unequally distributed across society that a Trade War will further deteriorate the material well being of the working classes. Criminals have given much to advancing technologies and progress. Under capitalist life, erecting statues in homage to criminals would make sense for all the social institutions of deterrence they brought into this world and the miracles of science to cure disease. When someone says America is a sick society they are not wrong. Torture employs many a creative and highly skilled craft people to come up with the ingenious ways on how to punish people. Yet the criminal produces an impression, partly moral partly tragic, and in this way renders a “service” by arousing the feelings of the public. Criminals gave us highly rated crime drama series, writers, and movie directors, the criminal breaks the monotony and everyday security of capitalist life. They keep capitalism from stagnating and gives rise to an uneasy tension and agility without which even the spur of competition would get blunted. The criminal lives among the superfluous working classes and rises to the surface gives the gift of lessening competition searching out a finite number of jobs against an infinite number of unemployed job searchers, up to a certain point the struggle against crime absorbs another part of the working class does bring about a correct balance of “useful” occupations. Would locks have reached its present state of perfection if not for criminals? Infinitesimal cameras in every crevice of a Tesla is a tribute to the criminal. The Mona Lisa could not be more protected as property. The microscope would never had made into a lab as a tool to study cell biology if not for the forgers. Crimes are constant attacks on property, constantly calls into being new methods of defense and when we take leave of the world of crime inside America and look at the world of crime outside of America into the sphere of private crime the world market would not have even been created! The Tree of Sin is at the same time the Tree of Knowledge ever since Adam. Every possible occupation is a productive endeavor supports life, trade, enjoyments. Trump is the worst type of philistine and apologist for capitalist life to not be praising the criminal he is and the criminals for their contribution to the state of criminal science; he owes his existence to criminals and should show gratitude for it. * JD Vance (Juvenile Delinquent Vance).

  9. Here is another example, the US is not part of the international treaty for the protection of waters. In the north Pacific Ocean the discovery of cobalt on the seabed floor in this region can provide sufficient storing capacity of energy for electric machinery in several industrial sectors. The ratification of this treaty delays private sector corporations poised to exploit the ocean floor with a giant vacuums, so they will get the license to proceed from Trump undermining the treaty, the treaty is sabotaged, and start mining the cobalt. The option to opt out of treaties is a pattern. A pattern found at the local and international level. A school district can opt out of a library tax and a nation can opt out of international treaty. The exemption clause is a conservative mainstay...it is the Opt Out approach to all American policy making, that if we are not party to the treaty we do not have an obligation to keep safe the ocean floor for sea life thrive, if we choose not to pay a library tax, we do not have an obligation to promote a community of library card holders and general literacy. This is how a conservative campaigns to get elected at the local level and this is how the US conducts its foreign policy; a policy that is no policy at all. Never a commitment, never taking a stand except for its own defense. Like living with a wife that is not your wife, or a husband that is not your husband, a child of yours that is not your child; always independent like an entity outside of the family makes the family live on timorous terms the bottom of its life can be pulled out from under its feet by the actions of one person or nation. The Ruling Elites of Canada are taking the same Opt Out approach of the American conservatives in power, speeding up approval processes, etc.,the International effort to keep marine life safe is sabotaged and to quarry raw material for themselves gives what the voters want which is to keep America out. What a remarkable achievement on the part of the Canadian Ruling Elites (sarcasm) I charge them with compartmentalizing to form nationatistic treaties...they are stuck in a 1918 mentality. Rich nations are consuming the natural wealth of poor nations in the same measure as they are becoming richer from its exploitation and the social structures of mankind establish a dependency to Nature, no matter how far apart rich elites see themselves from the natural world. The human world is part of the natural world like it or not, and in the non-human natural world all species are dependent on the inherent resources of the land, whether in the form of soil, oceans, rivers, lakes. The treaties we need are the ones that lead the world to work with the natural world as two elements of one system. Treaties that mimic the natural world itself. Work in defence of species and work in offence for species life.

  11. A point the professor makes: “ ...the end of abundance for the masses is a bonanza of abundance for the...financial sector,” does not answer the question; How? The inequality does not happen when workers and corporations exchange a wage for labor-power. The inequality of wealth between CEOs and workers emerges after the exchange has taken place. How this happens is technical but fairly easy to understand; the worker is working on the job for a fixed period of time in a legal working day. We can divide that working day into two imaginary but very real parts depending on how advanced production may be. Three things happen: first, workers transfer the value the corporation invested in the plant, office or workshop, equipment and raw material, to whatever product the corporation is making occurs in perpetuity. A product retains this investment even if the investment was made ten years ago and the worker preserves the investment value in the product. Second, the corporation(s) have not violated any laws of the market; things exchange only happens between two equal things. In other words, if there is no other commodity the object needs to show its value the object is not marketable. This circumstance is detrimental to workers when the commodity that needs to find a buyer is their labor-power but the same circumstance is not a detriment to corporations of any sector. The same circumstance also generates gluts and food abundance in stores in the midst of mass starvation on the streets. Or, by reducing a surplus to raise the price of the goods becomes more important than what good may come from the good itself. These are phenomena that happen all at once or in isolation but always recur as the professor well knows. The market is built on equality but inequality is the end result because equality turns into inequality as soon as two partners interact in production. Work becomes a means to the greater enhancement of prosperity for owners and simultaneously, a means for the greater poverty for workers who were equal people before they entered production together. Third anomaly to happen is sociological: Work is a commodity when it is not working and it is not a commodity when it is working becomes a way of life of distortions, complexes, and crisis for individuals and families in the working class. Work, skill and creativity, expertise, differences of the work itself, only count as value producing agents in the sphere of human activity most crucial to sustaining life on the planet, i.e., production.

  15. Understanding “Reciprocal Tariffs”, from a working class point of view paints another picture. Impacted by this trade war are working people. Working people in Canada, Mexico and the US are being asked to lose more of their living standards, temporarily....as each nation impose their own tariffs on foreign imports. Temporary tariffs are a permanent pain for people who are not owners of businesses of any significant size. The burden for them is a longer working day, job losses and bills going unpaid. The competing nations sell less of their products in this trade war. This circumstance forces the price of goods to fall in the home country but rise in the foreign country. Mexican goods are cheaper for Mexicans and expensive for American consumers and conversely, American products are cheaper for Americans and more expensive for non-American consumers. In each country the total value of home market necessaries falls, cheaper to live, but this does not mean the class struggle has vanished, not by a long shot, all three societies have social classes earning incomes from rent, interest, profits, stocks, dividends, bonds, pension, all want to get paid in exchange for what they sell, and employers, a separate social class, who own the means of production offer a lower wage to offset cuts in profits the tariffs impose. What has been achieved is a new social average for wages as prices of home produced goods continue to fall for each of the working classes in the three nations. This would be the come back, the recovery seen forma working class point of view. The US corporate classes are victorious in worsening the condition of the working classes.
