That’s why the “booster” is an old obsolete over one year old vaccine targeting a strain of the virus from over a year and a half ago. They don’t want a new updated vaccine that actually works. Delta was first identified in December last year, so they should have started the clinical trials for a delta specific vaccine The following January. They STILL haven’t started and delta specific vaccine trial.

They ONLY reason they haven’t done this already is because they don’t actually give a sh!t.

@Big_Steve11 , Ummm… Actually a lifetime vaccine is possible. He said that all the current variants of interest and concern existed over a year ago. They could very easily map all possible variants today, and then choose 10 evenly spaced variants around the periphery of all possible variants, then create a combo vaccine with 1/10th dose of each mixed together. They could have started the clinical trials over 6 months ago. This combo vaccine could have emergency use authorization already, and this could be our current booster.

This is why they should be conducting clinical trials for all the variants of interest already right now, and one combo vaccine that’s a mix of all the current variants of concern. Our booster that were getting right now should be a combo vaccine for all the variants of concern from 6 months ago, because the clinical trial should be finished already, and it should already be approved for emergency use.

@69birdboy , Moderna can create 2,000 custom vaccines per month. They’ve had this capability for over 2 years now. They could easily make 10 different vaccines for 10 different variants in small quantities. Maybe 10,000 doses per vaccine, then start the clinical trials. They could have done this in December last year, and the trial results could be available and the vaccines approved already.
