“It can’t reason as well on some tasks.” This guy is confused. ChatGPT 4 can’t reason at all on any task. It only appears to reason when you ask it something that exists in its training data.

@jeffreysoto4068 , Wrong. There’s no evidence that they can reason. You and everyone else making this claim are confused. Large language models cannot and will not ever reason. It’s possible that a large language model might some day be a component in an algorithm that can reason, but as they are, they will never reason.

@GeekProdigyGuy , ChatGPT only knows what’s on its training data, and nothing more. Since the training data is from the Internet, everything it could tell you how to do can be figured out by using Google.

@johan.j.bergman , “just pretend because it pays better” Absolutely. Exaggerating the capabilities of ChatGPT is basically clickbait. Everyone is doing it. It’s disappointing that people are willing to whore themselves out like this for profit.
