The difference now is that the United States and Saudi Arabia have had time to ramp up oil production. The world will soon have too much oil, and therefore no longer needs Russian oil. Unlike last year, Biden, Trump, Saudi Arabia, and the United States oil companies want Ukraine to disable Russia’s oil and gas production.
