It took the Soviet Union over 5 decades to manufacture those stockpiles. Russia is incapable of replacing them in even 100 years. $200 billion, if that number was actually real, and it was cash, is a bargain for preventing another Cold War. We won the last Cold War, but it was extremely expensive. I prefer lower taxes, so I prefer to invest now to avoid another Cold War tomorrow.

Which would have also bailed out the banks because it was the foreclosures they were causing the problem. He could have easily bailed out the people instead but he wasn’t working for the people. He was working for the banks who financed his campaign.

And then change the rules for variable rate loans so they you have to qualify based on the maximum possible payment instead of the initial teaser rate.

If those people who already have a loan with a particular bank with a particular payment already have a loan with that payment, replacing that loan with a new loan with a lower payment is going to accomplish nothing more than decreasing the risk that they’ll be foreclosed on. That’s absolutely no reason to deny the loan even if they don’t “qualify” other than the bank wanting to foreclose on them. Try using your brain before responding.
