There is another nuclear power plant in Japan that was closer to the epicenter than Fukushima. It was also hit by a tsunami. You never heard of it because they didn’t cut corners when designing it. Fukushima was a man made disaster, not a natural disaster.

@JoeZorzin , No. Swedes talk funny.
28
If a war breaks out and Sweden is on the side opposite Russia, and the international waters you’re referring to are within missile range of Sweden and Russia lacks the capacity to defend against those missiles, then Russia loses access to those international waters.
25
@GibbonInAmerica , Putin and Russia are not at all immune to sanctions. The sanctions placed on them will have a severe negative impact.
13
@greggmarshall80 , It has nothing to do with the quality of the engineers when management decides to cut corners. This is why nuclear power plants need international regulations and inspectors. You can’t trust companies to do the right thing when they’re motivated to maximize profits. Chernobyl was also caused by a design flaw. The operators did some things that that particular design couldn’t tolerate. Had it been designed properly what happened wouldn’t have been possible.
11
@Luxinmundum , “Why would Russia attack Europe?” Why would Russia attack Ukraine?
10
Does the US have a responsibility to defend Europe? No Is it in the best interest of the US to defend Europe? Yes
9
@TheOne30264 , How would Russia modernize North Korea? With what? Advanced Russian technology is a myth.
8
@myselfyuvi , When they talk, people laugh at them.
7
That 4 to 1 ratio assumes two militaries with equal capabilities. There’s absolutely no way Russia could properly supply 4 million soldiers. They don’t have the capacity.
5
@boy_ngiwi , Of Course. After the meltdown that was caused by bad design, there wasn’t anything they could do. Yet the other nuclear power plant that was closer to the epicenter was fine. Nothing had to be done.
5
@GibbonInAmerica , Castro’s goal was to educate and help his people. The United States made that impossible, but Castro did his best.
5
“Might makes right” Then Russia is obviously wrong.
5
Afghanistan was not a “colossal failure”. The United States won, and had the entire country under control. The United States then chose to leave because they didn’t want to continue maintaining a military base there. This military base in Afghanistan was no more costly than any other similar military base elsewhere. We have many such military bases.

Undermined by bureaucracy, or undermined by traitors?
4
@tomk3732 , Who had access to the dam since this invasion started, and who closed the gates causing the dam to overfill?
4
@itzmanolo3438 , You’re mixing up Russia with Ukraine.
4
@asnierkishcowboy , Exactly.
3
@spaghettigod43 , That’s true, but now Putin understands this.
3
@sierraecho884 , The Russians closed the gates causing the reservoir to fill to record high levels, and they placed explosives in strategic locations within the power plant in the dam. This caused a single explosion that has been detected by earthquake detectors all over Europe. If it was a missile, Russia would release security videos and allow Turkish inspectors investigate.
3
@loki_fenrir , The entire nuclear power plant was designed incorrectly which caused the failure. Had it been designed properly, it would not have failed. All nuclear power plants should be designed properly. We know how. It’s not difficult. It just costs more. Money well spent though.
2
@loki_fenrir , There’s a report that explains the whole thing. I read it. It makes perfect sense. The problem was the company cut corners to save money and they’re was insufficient government oversight.
2
@rezamohebbi2692 , Palestine was a small area of the Ottoman Empire, not a country. It was occupied by Jews, Christians, and Muslims. There wasn’t a country called Palestine until 1988.
2
@debrainwasher , The frozen money will be used to rebuild Ukraine and to pay back every country that provides Ukraine with aid. And if The frozen funds aren’t enough, Russia will have to pay the balance.
2
2 months now, and still aging well.
2
@vkrgfan , Stocks falling does not effect the GDP, or company profits. The only reason stocks have fallen is because everyone is selling stocks to invest in things they believe will increase in value, like oil, gas, fertilizer, grain, and everything else that is exported from Russia and Ukraine and will therefore be in short supply soon.
2
@vkrgfan <—— Not very intelligent…
2
@natasa8266 , It’s “NATO expansion” when Putin has claimed that the reason for invading Ukraine was to prevent “NATO expansion”.
2
If Germans were smart they’d be building more nuclear power plants instead of shutting them down.
1
@wedoalittletrolling , He’s mostly right though.
1
Biden isn’t giving money to Ukraine. The United States isn’t giving money to Ukraine. The United States is giving all our old outdated weapons to Ukraine. Y’all need to stop spreading misinformation.

Denmark is doing exactly what every country should have done years ago.

Immigrants should be required to learn the local language, become educated, get a job, and integrate before some deadline, or lose their visa.

Putin never had a problem with NATO expansion. He only had a problem with former Soviet states joining NATO because that would prevent him from absorbing them into Russia.
1
@zAlaska , And the Tsunami didn’t take out the other Nuclear power plant despite it being closer to the epicenter because they didn’t cut corners when constructing the others power plant. It was built by a more responsible company.
1
@TheSubpremeState , Hahahahaha!!!
1
@yuumetal2363 , They were fully aware of the risks of a tsunami of the size that damaged Fukushima. The other nuclear power plant was designed to tolerate such s tsunami and it tolerated the tsunami. Fukushima didn’t because they decided to design the power plant wrong.
1
@yuumetal2363 , “I don’t think so.” Well, then obviously you are wrong. You clearly need to educate yourself. There is another Nuclear power plat in Japan that is closer to the epicenter of the earthquake that caused the tsunami that damaged Fukushima. You have never heard of this other power plant because when it was hit by the tsunami, it didn’t create a disaster. This is because they didn’t cut corners when designing and building this other nuclear power plant.

Forcing an agreement at this time should include Russia leaving Ukraine, which includes Crimea and Donbas.
1
A ceasefire should only be to allow the Russians to leave Donbas and Crimea.
1
Russia should not be allowed to rebuild their military. In fact, they should be required to give up whatever military they have left.
1
Russia should have to give up their nukes.
