Despite this advantage, the incompetence of the Russian military has made this a nearly even match between the two sides. As more weapons are delivered from the west, and as more Ukrainian soldiers complete their training, Ukraine grows stronger as Russia’s supplies are exploding in storage facilities rather than on the front lines, and Russia’s supply lines are obliterated. Things are not improving for Russia while they are for Ukraine. In time, the tide will turn. Watch and see.

Then they would first blow up the Russian equipment on the other side of the bridge before they can retreat, then blow up the Russian equipment on their side of the bridge. This is exactly what they did when the Russians tried to cross the river that resulted in huge losses for Russia. Instead of blowing up the bridge stranding their troops on the Russians side, the Ukrainians could have booby trapped the bridge. They could have booby trapped both sides of the bridge too. This is all common sense, so it’s therefore exactly what they’d do. Your speculation makes absolutely no sense. A more reasonable explanation is that the Russians finally got lucky and finally hit the bridge with on of their rockets and blew it up.

The faster the Russians deplete their inventory, the sooner Ukraine takes over the area. Maybe they want to leave the bridge available as an escape route/choke point where they could easily be destroyed as they attempt to escape. Maybe the holes are meant to slow down this attempt to escape by placing obstacles on the bridge.

If there was anything stored in that factory behind the mall, Russia missed it. I don’t believe there was anything there, and I don’t believe that factory was Russia’s target. I believe they shoot randomly and whatever the missiles hit, Russia comes up with some story claiming that they hit what they wanted to hit. Russia has no precision weapons, so instead they pretend like they do. It’s incredibly obvious that they don’t. I bet that if Russia decided to nuke the west, over half of their nukes would land somewhere in Russia, and the majority of those who make it beyond Russia’s borders would be shot down before they reach their targets. They’re all outdated, and have has insufficient maintenance for at least 30 years. The maintenance costs alone for as many nukes as Russia has far exceeds Russia’s entire military budget. The United States has the right idea. Keep as many as you need, and no more, and keep them functional and up to date. Putin is an absolute lunatic to take on the west. Things were hojng great for Putin, his corrupt oligarchs, and the Russian population before this invasion. The west was buying Russian natural resources and investing in Russia and their economy was slowly improving. Nobody was threatening Russia, and NATO was becoming irrelevant. They are now rushing back north abandoning their brothers across the river in and around Kherson. By the time they reach Izyum it’ll be too late, and they won’t have any defensive trenches or anything set up and they’ll have limited supplies, so they will be weak and easy for the Ukrainians to overrun. Russia is in an extremely bad situation right now. They’re likely to lose significantly more territory in that area. It’s possible that the Ukrainians might surround Lysychansk and Severodonetsk. Finland does not have oil and extremely fertile farmland, so they’re not as valuable for Russia. Apparently Kherson is extremely important to Russia because that’s where the water comes from for Crimea. Without Kherson, Crimea is a desert. So Russia did everything they could to defend Kherson, but is was a waste because it was extremely easy for Ukraine to take out the bridges and trap them there. Now that those troops are trapped, they’re useless. The front lines in the east and the north are now 15,000 to 20,000 troops weaker, and Izyum is the result. And now Ukraine has surrounded and trapped 15,000 to 20,000 Russian troops that were defending the front lines around Izyum leaving the new front lines even weaker. All Ukraine needs to do now is fortify the new front lines while their troops continue the invasion into completely unprotected territory in the Donbas until they’ve passed and encircled Lysychansk and Severodonetsk. There’s nobody back behind there protecting anything. I suppose it’s possible that Ukraine doesn’t have enough troops to both fortify the new front lines and continue the offensive, but maybe they do have enough troops. I guess we’ll see in the next couple of days.

Obviously some units need to shoot at the enemy units who are shooting at them while others pack up and move a little further away. Then they shoot at the enemy whole the rearmost units that were previously shooting move further. They take turns like that until they’re all gone. Since it usually takes the Russians 2 to 3 shots to hit their targets, and 80 - 90% of Ukrainian units hit their targets on the first shot, the majority of Ukrainian artillery units will escape while the majority of Russian heavy artillery units will be lost during the retreat.
