There’s absolutely no way that Russia will be able to supply 1.2 million Russians on the front lines. They can barely deliver supplies for 150,000 Russians.

@VajrahahaShunyata , Sure. They could try that. “500,000 on the ground and 500,000 supplying them…” If they had enough trucks. Russia doesn’t even have enough ball bearings to maintain their trains. How are they going to make trucks? Does Iran or North Korea have truck manufacturing capacity? How about Belarus? Look at the lend/lease supplies that China received from the United States during WW2. Russia received a LOT of trucks. Pretty much Russia’s manufacturing capacity sucks.

@miketaylor5212 , Hitting weapons depots was more effective than taking out their supply lines, because they spent months packing them with artillery, weapons, and ammo. But since they’ve all been blown up, Russia started making more, but smaller weapons depots making it less effective to target then and more effective to go after their supply lines. It’s still more effective to hit their weapons depots than their supply lines, but not as much more effective than it was previously. And Ukraine can just as easily hit Russia’s supply lines as their weapons depots. It’s only a matter of preference.

@dalehartley2821 , That’s my thought. After Ukraine has completely demilitarized Russia, I bet several countries will choose to settle their territorial disputes with Russia. It’s only a matter of which ones choose to do so first.

All government around the world should increase mining for the commodities on your list. Government owned mines. Don’t leave it up to the private sector. The private sector doesn’t want lower prices, so they won’t do it.

Sean Lander , I believe it’s over 50,000 killed and 100,000 injured. That’s most of the soldiers Russia originally sent. But they’ve been replacing them with new troops during the past 6 months, so who knows?

Maybe Biden will tell China, “Hey, you can have Siberia if you promise to grant Taiwan independence.”

@miketaylor5212 , Supply lines have been getting hit with HIMARS too. And soon all of the railways in the northern occupied territories will be within range. Also Ukraine now has anti radiation missiles that are designed to take out the radars used for air defense. This will give Ukraine air superiority. Ukraine will be able to take out Russian aircraft, but Russia won’t be able to take out Ukraine’s. Additionally, there are currently Ukrainian pilots receiving F-15 and F-16 pilot training in the United States. They might be ready before Russia’s 1.2 million barely trained conscripts reach the front lines.

@playlisttarmac , That’s what Russia has done, yes. It’s a huge problem, because they lost so many young men that there’s still a whole generation of fewer people today. And that generation just happens to be from 18 to 35 years old which is “military age” so they’re making this problem even worse. Out of 140 million people, only 24 million are 18 to 35. Half are men. That’s 12 million. Putin is willing to let them all die in Ukraine for his imperialistic goals. He’s obviously insane. If they’re smart, they’ll surrender at the first opportunity.

@joehashbrowns7577 , If Russian are smart, they’ll send the new recruits to defend the borders between Russia and other neighboring countries freeing up already trained troops to be deployed in Ukraine. Then they can continue to train the new recruits while they guard Russia’s border. But one thing this war has taught us is that Russians aren’t smart.

@longhai6458 , I believe what I see on the front lines. Russia is clearly losing because their troops are untrained, incompetent, undersupplied cowards who run away from a fight. I also see that Russia’s supply lines are struggling to deliver supplies to their troops already with only 150,000 troops. 450,000 troops is not going to help.

Nobody is helping Russia. China and India are only taking advantage of Russia for their cheap oil. Otherwise they could care less about Russia. On the other hand, everyone is helping Ukraine. Russia obviously doesn’t have a chance. Russia was fine before this invasion. Nobody was planning to invade, or destroy Russia. But now? Putin screwed that up. Now NATO is expanding, military spending is increasing everywhere, and I bet Xi has his eyes on a significantly bigger prize than Taiwan.
