The advantage of having the high ground is twofold. 1. You can shoot further. 2. You can hide most of your vehicles and artillery behind the top of the hill.

@timcoolican459 , Russia has a LOT of artillery rounds. It’ll take at least 6 months to demilitarize them. They might figure out that they’re being demilitarized sooner and quit before then if they’re smart. But I seriously doubt that they’re smart. Especially Putin. If he was smart he would have been happy that things were going great between Russia and the west. All sorts of western investors were investing in Russia, and building factories and stores there and many Russians were benefiting. Now, with this invasion of Ukraine, Putin has put an end to cooperation with the west. Russia’s economy will be destroyed just like North Korea and Venezuela. He’s not doing anything that will benefit the population of Russia. I predict that within a few years the population of Russia will become fed up and they will overthrow Putin and his corrupt oligarchs. They’ve already had a taste of freedom and will not put up with losing it.

@timcoolican459 , Ummm…. Russia invaded Ukraine. This isn’t an excuse or conspiracy to eliminate fossil fuel use for environmental reason or any other reasons. Russia invaded Ukraine and is killing people. Also, all that bull chit about the government preventing oil pipelines and oil drilling is complete nonsense. The oil companies do not want to drill because they love high oil prices. High oil prices means more profit. In the United States the oil companies have already purchased enough oil leases for the next 20 years, yet despite Biden begging them, they are refusing to drill. Your problem is that you’re such a fool that you’re falling for oil industry propaganda. You’re a fool bro, and you lack the capacity to realize it.

@timcoolican459 , The only reason China and India are buying Russian oil right now is because oil prices have increased and Russia is selling for a $30 discount. But they can’t buy as much as they want, and Russia can’t sell as much as they produce, because there are no oil pipelines to India from Russia, and there aren’t enough oil pipelines from Russia to China. Maybe Russia could spend billions building those pipelines, but long before they’re built, other countries will ramp up production and oils prices will drop, and Russia and India will buy from whoever’s cheapest. That might be Russia, or it might be another country. Regardless, Russia will still have to offer a discount, and secondary sanctions will discourage both China and India from dealing with Russia. The only reason they haven’t started with secondary sanctions yet is because they understand that there won’t be enough oil and gas available for a while. And BRICS has nothing to do with any if this. None of the BRICS members will do Russia any favors. Like China and India, they’ll buy from whoever’s offering the best deal. If it’s Russia, so be it. If it’s not, well tough luck for Russia.

@timcoolican459 , They’ll obviously buy whatever they want from wherever it’s cheapest. That’s what they always do, and they have no reason to stop. They won’t pay extra as a favor to other members.
