I wonder why these people don't seem to realize that if shareholders want to sell 30% of the stocks for $420/share that it will take only $11 billion to buy all the shares? Tesla has 170 million outstanding shares. 35 million shares have been sold short. That means that there are 205 million shares long. 30% of 205 million is 61.5 million shares that need to be purchased. 35 million of those will be purchased by those who are short Tesla, and the remaining 26.5 million will need to be purchased by some investor. At $420/share, that comes to $11.13 billion. If the shareholders want to sell 25% of the shares, the same calculation comes up with only $6.825 billion. These numbers are nowhere near the $80 billion that these so called, "analysts" keep mentioning. What's wrong with these people? Are they dumb or something?
