When l worked at a Butlins camp many many many moons ago, l had a friend who every night walked up to a girl and asked them if they would go to bed with him, he got 20,30,40,50,60,no's but he always got one yes, and sometimes the next day some of the no's came looking for him and became yes's, he was an ordinary looking lad, but he had nerve and got to the point, a lot of girls there were with friends or family but wanted to be different than to being at home, after 3 months he used to have his own mailbag full of letters from the girls, he could get 1 to 5 a day, usually 2, sometimes 7 or 8 if he took a day off, he would basically say, l don't want to waste your time or mine will you come to bed with me now ? He just developed a thick skin to the no's and the odd slap, he was from Dewsbury and called Mick, he was a camp legend, by which l mean a legend in the camp and not like Graham Norton lol.
Tip never let your girlfriend/ wife go to Butlins on their own or with a friend without you. It was Filey which is now closed. You had to be really ugly and the biggest loser ever not to get fixed up there, my mates used to go to the camp gates on Saturday mornings to watch the new influx of girls coming in. It was all in fun. Unless you were engaged or married. I miss the 70s sigh
