  1. I've serviced the oldest elevator in Hackensack New Jersey located inside Colonial Moving and Storage. Used to be a mortuary. It's so old that it doesn't have buttons, knobs, replacement parts and it rides on wooden rails!

  2. It was an open platform type and required the pulling of a cable a few inches on one of two corners which moved a mechanism that engaged the motor. Fascinating system.
