  3. I use dielectric grease on the o ring and on the quick connects. Helps to be able to force the pump down and be able to get the ring to hold it before turning it the rest of the way. The ones I work on are usually super rusty and full of dirt and rocks. Did you have to clean the top of the tank before removing the old pump? Must've been some crud in there.
