  2. The chains in my 4.6 SOHC Ford engines have lasted well over 200k miles but only because the oil was changed regularly. I have some that were not so lucky but I'd trust them over a belt any day.

  4. So the pistons are forced into the swash plate by the compression and power strokes? They don't seem to be connected to the swash plate the way a connecting rod connects the piston to the crankshaft.

  5. More efficient thermodynamically but not mechanically. A simple two or four stroke ohv engine might not have the best thermodynamic efficiency but it's far more simole to build and maintain than an engine with even slightly better thermodynamic efficiency.

  10. Nothing is rebuilable or repairable anymore thats why im driving 20+ year old panther platforms that were made to last forever. 95-05 was the golden age
