@berendharmsen Thanks for letting me know, it's a great feeling to share a good channel with someone. He's also made some interesting videos about the history of English, in particular the reasons behind the nonsensical spelling that so many learners struggle with - I was just recommending those to someone but I think I'll go back to them myself!

@berendharmsen Apparently not though (I also used to think that). There's a great English-teaching channel called Let Them Talk TV, and the guy made a very enjoyable video about the origin of those idioms - I don't think I could put it as well as he does, but look it up, it's well worth it!
