@esmekaffen4961 It does happen that adoptions break down, I've heard about it more than once... but this was absolutely awful, it must have been crushing for the child. I wonder if he understood what was about to happen on the drive there, I wonder if those people at least explained, apologised...?

@AngelaDavis-yz3xf That happens a lot in adopted or blended families... I've seen it in my own extended families (also among people of different ethnicities).
