@cherryred8265 I also cook from scratch most of the time and it makes a huge difference - though you're right, for all the price rises of the past few years we're still doing so much better in the UK than in other countries. The problem is (apart from trump's tariffs) that so many people have been raised on the sort of processed pre-packaged food seen in this video, it's what they've been buying and eating since they left home and now they don't know how to cook with fresh food, they don't know how to shop, they're not sure how long things will last and this is a change that's even harder to make when you're suddenly desperate to save money. And of course there are people like that in every developed country in the world, but I have a feeling that the US may have the most on average.
