  1. russian propagandists have been trying to convince the world that Ukraine is selling on Western weapons since the spring of last year. Every time it gets debunked. Most recently, the kremlin has been saying that Hamas used Western weapons they bought from Ukraine to commit mass murder in Israel.

Seriously though, I don't think these stories are so ridiculous because they were invented by ignorant people, but because they were invented for ignorant people: the propagandists making them up are working on the assumption that everyone has the same limited capacity for critical thinking that russians have after the generational brainwashing they've been submitted to for decades.
