  5.  @datathunderstorm  That sounds like the sort of communal boiler we used to have in a block of flats where I lived years ago... those things are a nightmare, they break down all the time and then dozens or even hundreds of households have to make do without heating and hot water. But I live in London, and even with the worst landlord ever, it will get fixed eventually - or you can go to the press and shame your landlord / local authority, with no fear of falling out a window.
